Buildings:

Portions of the Centralia Timberland Library will be closed for carpet replacement. Because the carpet is just a year old and already fraying, the manufacturer will pay for all replacement and installation costs. (The Chronicle [Centralia], 12-13-08)

A story of many snowy activities in Olympia mentioned that it was lucky that the Olympia Timberland Library had just re-opened, after a two-month renovation, giving the homeless a place to get out of the snow and cold during the day. (With color photos) (Olympian, 12-18-08)

Programs and Displays:

The Pierce County Library is offering free computer classes at the Bonney Lake Senior Center, in the Center’s computer lab. The Liberty Lake Municipal Library is beginning a Winter Reading program, “Warm Up with a Good Book”, for all ages, with a drawing at the end, plus an Afterschool Book Club for grades K-3 and a Book Club for ages 9 to 13. (Liberty Lake Splash, 12-18-08)

Book Sales:
