Free ProQuest Training and Marketing materials

For those of you who provide some level of training on ProQuest products in your library or school, here is a list of some of the free resources that ProQuest provides on their web site.

One page to definitely look at is their Training Materials page located here: http://www.il.proquest.com/en-US/support/training/materials.shtml. The most useful thing from this page is probably the very first item listed, the ProQuest Platform User Guide, which covers the basic ProQuest search platform.

ProQuest provides a series of marketing toolkits for different types of libraries here: http://www.il.proquest.com/en-US/utilities/default.shtml.

For more specifically K-12 oriented materials, check out this page: http://www.il.proquest.com/en-US/utilities/toolkits/tk-schools.shtml which lists access guides, flyers, etc. for CultureGrams and eLibrary. Some of these, such as the “Resource Notices” document, have customizable versions that you can customize yourself, or it appears that ProQuest will do it for you, if you send them the needed logon information.

If you select the “Educator Tools” tab on the ProQuest K-12 site (www.proquestk12.com) you will also find lesson plans and curricular support materials for CultureGrams and eLibrary. Another page to check out is the K-12 training support page here: http://www.proquestk12.com/trainingsupport.shtml.
