It never gets as much attention as Independence Day, and it doesn't give people an excuse to have a barbecue or shoot off fireworks like so many of us do on July 4.

But today, September 17, is Constitution Day.

Today is the 222th anniversary of that remarkable day in 1787 when the United States Constitution was signed in Philadelphia. And, as they say, the rest is history.

The National Constitution Center has a Web site about our nation's most fundamental and cherished set of laws.
