Braille exhibit now in Seattle

If you missed the interesting exhibit about Louis Braille when it was featured in Olympia recently, come check it out while it’s in Seattle through March 29.
The Braille exhibit opened Wednesday at the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library, which is located at 2021 – 9th Avenue in downtown Seattle. It is featured in the library’s Children’s Room, which is very visible from the outside. WTBBL staff is encouraging passers-by to come inside for a better view of the exhibit and to learn more about the amazing life of Braille, who became blind at age 3. At 15, he devised what is now known as braille, a touch-based system used worldwide by blind and visually impaired people for reading and writing.
John Dodge of The Olympian recently wrote an interesting column about the exhibit when it appeared at the State Capitol.
