Not much can stop the Capitol from preparing for the 2016 Legislative Session, except a visit from a former Seahawk, the team’s mascot and two Sea Gals. Lawyer Milloy, a strong safety for the Hawks in 2009 and 2010, helped whip up the crowd at a rally outside the Capitol Thursday ahead of Sunday’s (very cold) playoff game in Minnesota. Along with the team’s mascot, Blitz, Milloy escorted Secretary of State Wyman down the Capitol Steps, where they met Governor Inslee, Lt. Governor Owen and a crowd of die-hard Hawks fans. After a round of selfies, Inslee, Wyman and Milloy raised the 12th Man flag in the Capitol’s Flag Circle. The Secretary gave the final hoist, but not without some tips from the retired 14-year NFL player and former UW Husky: “Bend your legs, girl!”
