Washington’s beautiful Capitol Campus offers gorgeous views year-round. While most people see the campus during the day to tour buildings and view the flowers and trees that adorn the grounds, an evening walk-around can be worth it, too.

This 1950s photo shows the Tivoli Fountain and a well-lit Capitol dome at dusk. The shot is part of the State Digital ArchivesSusan Parish Photograph Collection, 1889-1990.

Normally, the fountain is one of the highlights of a campus visit. The fountain is shut down until next year, but at least this photo shows you how pretty it is, especially when it gets dark.
