The recent state Republican presidential caucus wasn’t the only event generating buzz in Washington.

February’s “State Library jewels” contest is over. And the winner, in a wire-to-wire performance, is the George Washington Bush family papers.

The Bush family papers received 43 percent of the votes, ahead of the Heinz Ulbrecht designs for Leavenworth (33 percent) and media clips for the Progressive Party candidate for Governor in 1912 (24 percent).

With March here, we’ll do another round of the “State Archives Treasures” contest in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned…
