Hey, forget college basketball. We have our own version of March Madness right here on this blog! Just as the first two rounds of this year’s NCAA basketball tournament had their share of exciting endings, the March version of our “Archives treasures” poll had a finish worthy of SportsCenter. In yet another spirited race since we started the “Archives treasures” series in January, the Passage of the Barefoot Schoolboy Act edged the failed Walla Walla Penitentiary breakout, 48 percent to 41percent. Taking third place was the photograph and info on The Women’s Club of Olympia with 11 percent. Watch for this month’s “State Library jewels” series in the next few days.
