In case you get calls about your voter registration…

When a big election approaches (like the one this fall), it isn’t uncommon for advocacy groups and campaigns to contact people and ask whether they are registered.

Lately, staffers in our state Elections Division have fielded several calls from voters who say they’ve been receiving after-hour calls telling them that their voter registration is not current and that they need to call the Secretary of State’s hotline phone number.

If you or anyone you know wants to confirm their registration status, just go to www.myvote.wa.gov (a website run by our state Elections Division) or call the Elections Division toll-free at 1-800-448-4881.
