After a week of voting, our online poll for the August “Library jewels” has closed. This monthly blog series features three rare, interesting or way cool items from the State Library. The runaway winner is the women’s suffrage documents, receiving 58 percent of the votes. The State Library’s Spanish language collection finished second with 27 percent, and books about the War of 1812 took third with 15 percent.

We’ve started the September edition of “Archives treasures,” which highlights items in the State Archives. Make sure to check out those blog posts. We’ll start our online poll for those items next week.
