The Digital Archives’ latest cool collection is nearly 100,000 historical trademark images and records going back to 1891.

The fascinating series is titled “trademark” under the detailed search feature on the Digital Archives homepage. People can search for trademark records by keyword and record series.

This lengthy project involved imaging samples and taking photographs of state registered trademarks.

The trademark records project represents another step forward in digitizing the records of the Corporations and Charities Division. The first step was scanning/imaging more than 2 million historic corporation records for active entities going back to 1860 through 2003. That stage was completed in 2008.

Of the nearly 115 million documents that the Digital Archives preserves, nearly a third of them are available for the public to search, see and enjoy.
