We recently blogged about a photo of two skiers near Sunrise at Mount Rainier National Park. But when you have lots of classic shots of The Mountain in winter, you just want to share them! So here are two more. The shot above shows a group of skiers watching one of their buddies jumping over a mogul near Paradise on Mount Rainier. The photo below shows two skiers taking a break and enjoying a sunny day at Paradise. Both photos, taken around 1940, are part of the State Library Photograph Collection, 1851-1990. The collection, found on the Digital Archives website, has more than 5,000 classic black-and-white photos that capture Washington’s history, people, geography and economic development.
