Who Are We? Writing, Art & Film Contest
Legacy Washington sponsored a writing, art and film competition for students in grades 6-12 that ran from September – November 2016. Washington state students were encouraged to participate in this special opportunity to enhance the Who Are We? project. The project documents the lives of diverse Washingtonians in a series of online profiles and an interactive exhibit in the Washington State Capitol Building.
Students were asked to explore the question of who they are and who they hope to become. This exploration and analysis could result in a multitude of formats, including writings, film projects or 2-dimensional art. Judges have selected the following pieces from each category to receive a special recognition certificate and gift card at an awards ceremony on February 9th. Thank you to all the students who participated in this contest!
