The Unconference is a fun, free gathering where librarians from different institutions can engage with and learn from one another. Inspired by the many great connections that have been made at past Unconferences, “Connections” will be the unifying theme of this year’s event: connecting to students, connecting to faculty, connecting to curriculum, connecting to community, and of course, connecting with each other. This year, the Unconference debuts lightning talks, which are a fun, fast way to share ideas and best practices. Topics will be practical or conceptual ideas, and should showcase effective practices or highlight new projects in various stages of development. More details to come! Check the Connections: Libraries Unconference @ UW website for updates. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6) FREE CE OPPORTUNITIES NEXT WEEK August 2 August 3 August 4 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information and to register (unless otherwise linked above), visit the WSL Training Calendar at sos.wa.gov/q/training. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Washington State Library has gone social!
