Krist Novoselic to talk at State Capitol on July 2

Former Nirvana bassist and current Granger and political activist Krist Novoselic will be speaking at a brown bag lunch event on July 2 in Olympia. The free and public event, which runs from noon to 1 p.m., will be held in the Columbia Room, located on the first floor of the Legislative Building. Chances are there will be large crowd, so arrive early for a good seat.

Novoselic was in the news last week when he announced he’s filing to run for Wahkiakum County Clerk as a way to protest the state’s new Top 2 Primary. Novoselic is the chair of that county’s Democratic Party, but his election paperwork said he prefers the “Grange Party,” even though he said no such party exists.

Considering his musical past, it’s a little surprising he didn’t say he prefers the “Grunge Party” ...
