The goal of the project is to find ways in which different parts of the state’s early learning system – from state agencies to local child care providers – can work together more effectively to support children in Washington, focusing in particular on improving coordination and communication between programs. The research, under way since February of this year, has helped to identify barriers to a strong early learning system, opportunities for improving it, and promising practices from other states. In this initial round of outreach, DEL and its partners wants to hear from you – your thoughts and advice – so that they can plan for and make improvements based on an accurate understanding of the current early learning terrain in Washington. To find out more about the project and to share your comments, visit www.sos.wa.gov/quicklinks/SLC31July. Comments must be submitted no later than Tuesday, July 31, 2012. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) CALL FOR PROPOSALS – ONLINE NORTHWEST Online Northwest is a one-day conference that explores how technology is applied within library settings and how it affects access and services for patrons.
