This second round of funds was used for a multi-year research project, Library as Instructional Leader, to document the impacts of information literacy on developmental education students. At the next First Tuesdays program, Lynne Kanne, project coordinator will share:
- How discipline faculty was engaged to help define and assess the information needs of students;
- How a network of community and technical college (CTC) librarians shared best practices around the teaching of information literacy to students;
- How sustained collaboration between discipline faculty and librarians enabled both groups to develop and assess information literacy assignments that result in greater learning outcomes.
- Experience the best of the best that young adult literature has to offer;
- Have the opportunity to share your reaction to a book you read during the challenge;
- Be entered into a random drawing to win a YALSA tote bag full of 2012 and 2013 YA titles;
- Receive an elite digital badge to show others how well-read you are!
