EveryoneOn, a 3-year campaign to help the millions of Americans who do not have the digital literacy skills they need to succeed, is literally putting libraries on the map as valuable digital literacy resources in their communities. A zip code search tool on the EveryoneOn web site can help users find free computer and internet training classes in their area, including those available at local public libraries. The site also includes information on computer basics, job searching, accessing government resources, and how to connect with friends and family. The goal of the EveryoneOn campaign is to help. Whether it’s finding a job, helping their children complete homework for school, or connecting with distant family, every American needs access to the tools that will help them to succeed. Libraries continue to be seen as providing an essential service to their communities by making available computer and information literacy training those who need it. They can build heightened awareness about this role to members of their communities by taking advantage of the free promotional tools available to them through EveryoneOn including:
