As a free, community-oriented project, NWC depends on members in the library community to share calendar listings and information about library-related continuing education (CE) events. NWC is currently looking for volunteers who can commit about one hour per week to search for CE opportunities and post them to the NWC web site. It’s a great way to build up a resume and to get involved in the library community. For additional information or to volunteer, contact Gina Bacon at [email protected] and/or visit nwcentral.org. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) LOOKING FOR THE BEST SMALL LIBRARY IN AMERICA Library Journal’s annual award for the Best Small Library in America, cosponsored by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, honors the U.S. public library that most profoundly demonstrates outstanding service to populations of 25,000 or less.
