When it comes to the Archives Treasures online poll, older is often better. That was the case as a collection of 1874 photos of Seattle easily captured the October edition of the poll with 55 percent of the votes. Documents from the 1962 Columbus Day Storm finished second with 26 percent, followed by Washington’s first Voters’ Pamphlet, in 1914. We’ll kick off our October Library ewels this week, so watch for it.
