Library Jewels tourney Game 1: rare atlas vs. Le Jeune’s Chinook shorthand

Just when you thought you could take a breather after the end of the Archives Treasures tourney, we throw another tournament at you. This one showcases the more interesting collections and items found in our Washington State Library. The first game of our Library Jewels tourney features a rare and historic atlas nearly 500 years ago against the precursor text to Le Jeune’s famous Chinook shorthand, by Paul Durieu.
