Due to popular demand, two more Gaining STEAM workshops have been scheduled:
- Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Nisqually Youth and Community Center, 1937 Lashi Street SE, Olympia, 98513 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Whitman County Rural Library District Main Branch, 102 S Main Street, Colfax, 99111 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- So, get STEAMed. Space is limited, please register now.

- More effective in helping children learn to read.

- LIBR 132 "Serving Diverse Communities" online for five credits during spring 2016.
- The course is an examination of library services to diverse populations including, but not limited to, ethnicity, national origin, language, gender, age, disability (human exceptionalities) and sexual orientation.
- The course focuses on proactively developing collections and services that foster an atmosphere of inclusion and meet the needs of all the library's users.
- Proposals are due no later than Friday, April 8, 2016.
- Primary Contacts will be notified of proposal status by Friday, April 22, 2016.
