- A former president of the Washington Library Association, she has worked at the Library of Congress, University of Washington Libraries, and Kitsap Regional Library.
- She was the first professional librarian hired by Amazon and also worked at Corbis and OCLC.
- Aden’s professional experience includes management, strategic leadership, metadata, and project management.
- She is expected to begin her new position in mid-July.
- Applicants must be from a public or tribal library or library branch serving a population of 10,000 or fewer in Washington State.
- Scholarship awardees must commit to a doing follow-up project.
- The deadline for applications, both the paper copy and the digital copy is July 1, 2016. Paper copies may be hand-delivered or postmarked by July 1, 2016.

- To be considered, the institution must complete and return a nomination form by October 3, 2016.
- All types of nonprofit libraries, library organizations, associations, and consortia are eligible, including academic, school, digital, and special libraries or archives.
- Public or private nonprofit museums of any discipline (including general, art, history, science and technology, children’s, natural history, and anthropology), as well as historic houses and sites, arboretums, nature centers, aquariums, zoos, botanical gardens, and planetariums are also eligible.
