This year’s scholarship recipients are:

- Presented by Andrew Plumer, Outreach Librarian, National Library of Medicine
- Melanie Swenson, Director of Health Information Technology, Kalispell Regional Health Care, will explain how access to the Kalispell Regional Hospital's patient portal and patient education resources was improved by using laptops, iPads, and training.
- Laurel Egan, Director of St. James Healthcare Library, and her colleagues will describe their collaboration with community organizations to increase awareness of children's mental health resources in Butte, Montana.
- The Early Learning Public Library Partnership (ELPLP) symposium will be Friday, October 7, 2016 in Yakima and brings together ELPLP members from throughout Washington. More information coming soon about the symposium program and registration.
- All are invited to join the coalition meeting, Thursday, October 6, 2016 in Yakima. The Early Learning Regional Coalitions gather three times a year to discuss their work in family and community engagement, advocacy, equity, and development of the early learning system.
