Calling young artists: contest time!

Alright finger-painting geniuses and colored-pencil gurus, the Secretary of State's Office wants your doodles and your masterpieces alike. This year our Elections Division is holding an Art Contest for 4th and 5th graders ... and the winning art will appear on the statewide Washington State Voter's Pamphlet. That's like a few million people checking out your work!

2010 marks the centennial of woman's suffrage in our state, so the art should fit the theme "Women's Votes. Women's Voices." Below is a real low-budget example that we just whipped up to get your creative juices flowing (yours will clearly be better). Get more info on entry details now ... all art is due April 16!
