- Courtney Schrieve, Community Relations Director for the North Thurston School District, has produced an event at the district level for several years that celebrates reading for families and children from Kindergarten on up.
- Gwendolyn Haley has been one of Spokane County Library District’s point people in the county-wide reading program that involves libraries ranging from the university, to the school, to the public.
