Introduction to VoiceOver Workshop

Join us to learn about VoiceOver, a built-in screen reader on your iPhone and iPad that converts text to speech. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of using VoiceOver to navigate your phone or tablet, and how to download and listen to BARD Mobile books without seeing the screen.

While you do not need to be a patron of the library to attend this workshop, access to the BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download) service is only available to WTBBL patrons.

Topics to be Covered

  • What is VoiceOver and what can it do
  • Basic VoiceOver skills such as turning it on and off; gestures for navigation such as tapping, swiping, and dragging; adjusting your settings; and more
  • Accessing the BARD Mobile app to download books using VoiceOver
